Prepare for your driving eyesight check
Australian states and territories administer driver licensing. Choose a supported state to learn when and how your eyesight is checked, then try a calibrated letter-recognition exercise.

Transport for NSW requires an eyesight test for a first licence and at certain renewals or upgrades. At a service centre, staff ask you to read a chart of letters aloud. Bring the glasses or contacts you use when driving. If you do not pass the service-centre check, you need a report from an optometrist or ophthalmologist.
